Welcome from the Headteacher
I am so proud to welcome you to the Mossford Green community, where our vision is to 'make memories that last a lifetime, setting every child on course to live a life of purpose and positive impact. We empower all our children to embody our school values - being kind, creative, respectful, courageous, resilient and determined - within a culture where every child is valued and inspired to reach their full potential.'
Creativity sits at the heart of our curriculum, and ensures that children access a broad and balanced diet of learning experiences whilst building foundational skills in English, Maths and Science. Our learning is organised into learning journeys which begin with 'stunning starters' to capture the children's imagination and end with 'fabulous finishes' where they apply everything they have learnt to real world contexts.
Our school is a joyful place, where the wellbeing of our children is at the heart of everything we do. Visitors frequently comment on the calm, positive atmosphere in the school, and on our children's impeccable manners. Our playtimes are outrageously good fun; from skateboards to den building to digging in the mud, we do it all! Where children need additional support with their wellbeing or behaviour, our award-winning emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA) team are on hand.
We are supported by a diverse community of families, and by our PTA who generously give their time and energy to support our school. Our safeguarding team ensure that all families are supported and children can come to school happy, healthy and ready to learn. The commitment to equality runs deep within our school; everyone is heard, everyone is seen, everyone is represented. We also teach our children to give back to their community; in Year 5 and 6 children complete up to 30 hours of "work in the community" as part of our Contribution to Community Award (CCA). Check out our 'community' page for more information.
But don't just take my word for it - please come and visit our wonderful school and see our children and staff in action!
