Our School

Mossford Green is a vibrant school situated in a quiet residential area at the heart of a strong local community.

We are a small, welcoming school where children are nurtured, encouraged and assisted to do their best and achieve high academic standards.
We place a high value on the “whole child” and guide our pupils to become happy, kind and friendly young people with a positive attitude to learning.

School staff work as a team to offer our pupils a stimulating and personalised learning experience.  We are committed to working in partnership with parents to achieve the best possible outcomes for all the children in our care.

Mossford Green School site consists of a main building to which an additional classroom block and nursery were added in 1998.

Two new blocks were added in 2012 to allow for more classrooms, intervention and small group spaces.

The early years classes, including the Nursery have their own outdoor areas.

We have a well-equipped computer suite and an encouraging library.  There are two halls, one of which is used for assemblies, PE and as a dining area; the other as a gym/dance area and for other activities.  We have specific areas that are used for small group work and instrumental teaching.

Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have their own playgrounds and there is also a field area.  Both playgrounds incorporate some climbing equipment, purchased by the PTA and other fund raising projects.

In 2021, we added a memorial garden area; a special, tranquil place for our children where they can sit, reflect and remember their loved ones.
