Our Learning Journeys

At Mossford Green Primary School, children learn through exciting Learning Journeys that bring the curriculum to life. Each term begins with a stunning starter to spark curiosity and ends with a fabulous finish that celebrates the children’s achievements.

Our Learning Journeys link learning across the curriculum, often centred around high‑quality key texts. They are carefully planned to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and EYFS Framework, while also reflecting the culture, interests and needs of our school community and building skills children will use for life. We aim to make learning memorable, meaningful and enjoyable.

Wherever possible, children learn through hands‑on experiences, including educational visits, workshops and opportunities to work with visiting experts. We also value contributions from parents and families who can enrich our topics with their own knowledge and experiences.

While English and Mathematics (including phonics and reading) are taught discretely, we make meaningful links to our Learning Journeys whenever appropriate.

We teach Religious Education in line with the Redbridge Agreed Syllabus, promoting understanding and respect for different faiths. Our PSHCE curriculum has been updated to meet statutory RSHE guidance introduced in 2020.
