Welcome and thank you for your interest in Mossford Green Primary School.  We know choosing a school for your child is an immensely important decision and we hope our website gives you a taste of the exciting learning opportunities and enriching experience our school has to offer.

Our school is a 2 form entry primary school with an attached Nursery. 

Each Year group from Reception to Year 6 has 60 places (30 in each class) and our Nursery has 36 places; a combination of part-time and full-time places, with 26 places per session.

We are always pleased to show prospective parents and children around the school; (subject to Government & Local Authority guidance).  Please email the school office on to make an appointment.

Reception and In-Year Admissions

Admissions for Mossford Green Primary; for children from Reception to Year 6 are processed and managed through Redbridge Council's Admissions & Awards Section of Children’s Services.

Reception Admissions:  All children should start Primary School in the September prior to their 5th Birthday that falls between 1st September and 31st August. 

We aim to ensure a smooth transition from pre-school and nursery settings to Reception for all pupils.

Our Reception classes have one intake each year in September and applications need to be made online using the eAdmissions website via the borough your child resides in by the closing date each year.

In the event of over-subscription, we abide by the Admissions criterias set by the Local Authority, please see the Determined Admission Arrangements stated below for more information.

In-Year Admissions:  Applications made for children during the academic school year, need to be made online, please see Redbridge Council's website below for more information. 

Applications can be made at any time.  If a place cannot be offered at the time applied, you will be given the opportunity to be placed on a waiting list.

Secondary Transfer

At Mossford Green, our Year 6 children go to a wide range of secondary schools around the London and Essex boroughs.

For many, the selection of the right secondary school is one of the most important decisions to take and we are here to support you as well as your child through this process. 

Applications need to be made online using the eAdmissions website via the borough your child resides in by the closing date each year.



Just as when applying for Primary Schools, parents will need to list the schools that they want to apply for online, ranking them in order of preference.
