Fundraising for Mossford Green

Climbing Area

At the end of the summer term we had the sad news that the wooden climbing area next to the field is coming to the end of its life. After twenty years we have had to take out one of the items as it was unsafe and others are likely to need removal in the near future. This is a huge blow to many of the children as it is a very popular part of the playground and used by children both during playtimes and by those in year 1 and the early years at other times in the day.

The estimated cost of building a new climbing area is about £30,000. This is an enormous sum of money and, while some limited funds can be put towards this from the school, we will be starting a fundraising campaign, both in school and through the Parents’ Association to meet the remaining costs. Please do find the time to come to Parent’s Association meetings to share your ideas, skills and time with us. We would love to welcome you on board.

Please do let us know if you have any business links which might be able to help us through sponsorship or other means.
